Nippon Music Foundation is pleased to announce the start of the following instrument loan to violinist Ms. Boha Moon.

Boha Moon
Boha Moon was born in South Korea in 2006. She is studying with Prof. Ida Kavafian at Curtis Institute of Music from 2023. She previously studied with Prof. Pierre Amoyal (Mozarteum University Precollege), Josef Spacek (in Prague), Prof. Nam-yun Kim (Korea National Institute for the Gifted in Arts), and Prof. Anat Malkin Almani (Manhattan School of Music Precollege).
She has won the first prize at many Korean and international competitions like Eumak Chunchu (2015), Crescendo International Competition (2016, USA), Ewha & Kyunghyang (2018), Singapore Violin Festival Competition (2019), Ishikawa music Award (2019, Japan), Euroasia International Competition (2020), and Kocian Violin Competition (2022). In addition, she is a 2nd Prize winner of the Leonid Kogan Competition 2020, 5th Prize winner of the Menuhin Competition 2021, and 2nd Prize winner at the Zhuhai Mozart Competition 2022. Most recently, she has been awarded top prize at the Sendai Competition 2025.
In addition, she was selected as 'The Young Soloist' by SonusArts in 2021 and had a solo recital in Switzerland, and in 2023, she was selected as 'Young Artist of the Year' at the German National Festival and performed with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
She has performed at the Carnegie Hall (Winners Concert, 2017), Rudolfinum Dvořák Hall (2022 Young Praha Festival), Lotte Concert Hall (2022 performance with the Zurich Youth Symphony Orchestra), MKZ in Zurich(2022), and more.
She has also played in masterclasses given by many renowned violinists like Mihaela Martin, Klaidi Sahatci, Noah Bendix-Balgley, Philip Draganov, Ani Schnarch, Martin Beaver, and Koichiro Harada.
