We are deeply saddened to announce that Mr. Katsuji Ebisawa, Chairman of the Nippon Music Foundation, passed away on 19 October 2025, at the age of 91.

Mr. Ebisawa had served as Chairman of the Foundation since 2018, during which time he dedicated himself to the advancement of musical culture and the support of distinguished musicians around the world.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.
