Mr. Koshiro Takeuchi wins the 3rd Prize in the 2023 Long-Thibaud International Competition

Mr. Koshiro Takeuchi, violinist and recipient of Nippon Music Foundation's Guarneri del Gesù 1736 Violin "Muntz" since June 2023, was awarded the 3rd Prize in the 2023 Long-Thibaud International Competition held in Paris between 22-26 November 2023.

Koshiro Takeuchi
Born in Tokyo, Koshiro Takeuchi started playing the violin at the age of five. He has studied under Yu Nishiwada and currently studies under Koichiro Harada and Mayuko Kamio. He is currently in the 3rd grade at the Tokyo College of Music High School as a special scholarship student. He won the first prize at the 71st Student Music Concours of Japan Osaka Tournament in 2017. In 2018, he won the 1st prize at the 72nd Student Music Concours of Japan Tokyo Tournament as well as the second prize at its National Tournament, also winning the Yokohama Citizen Prize (Audience award). In the same year, he won the first prize at the 7th Design K Music Competition Junior High School Division and won the IMA Music Award at the Ishikawa Music Academy. In 2021, he won the third prize at the 90th Music Competition of Japan. In 2022, he became a semifinalist at the 17th Seoul International Music Competition.
