María Dueñas, 18-year-old Spanish violinist and recipient of the Nippon Music Foundation's Guarneri del Gesu 1736 Violin "Muntz" since July 2019, was awarded the 1st Prize and the Audience Prize of the senior division in the Yehudi Menuhin International Competition held in Richmond, Virginia during May 14-23. Due to COVID-19 disruption, this year's Menuhin Competition was held virtually.
